Each month, Arkansas Living magazine highlights family favorite recipes from a cooperative member. The following Ashley-Chicot members were featured in recent issues:
Mary Ann Gwin Morman, a lifelong resident of Ashley County, is the oldest of eight children. She has five sons, two daughters, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She enjoys reading, working jigsaw puzzles and, most of all, cooking for her family. She has been the owner of Gwin & Sons Logging, Inc., since 1984. She has been known for cooking lunch for company employees. Thursday is known as “Chicken & Dumplin’ Day” at her table. Shari Pieroni lives in Lake Village with her husband, Mark, who is a farmer and a member of Ashley-Chicot Electric Cooperative’s board of directors. They have three children and two grandchildren. Shari is employed by Alice Sidney Dryer & Seed Company in Jerome. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as her animals.
